Inglenook Inns and Taverns are a growing Pub Chain Group with more than 66 pubs. Their ethos is that a local pub is indeed the hub and heart of the community.
This family-based business is focused on hard work, flexibility and fun providing high quality, well invested pubs run by people who are passionate about their products and proud of their customer service. They endeavour to be the best pub in the area and create customer loyalty.
This summer they determined to provide stylish and safe gardens that were accessible to all, utilizing every possible outside space. Some gardens were completely redesigned, some extended and many had replacement furniture.
First Contact and Requirements
Inglenook Inns & Taverns had not worked with Woodberry before.
They initially partnered with Woodberry for supply of garden furniture to other sites, including the Wilsons, Runcorn, where we provided a mix of terrace table and chair seating, shelter, bar furniture, and picnic furniture.
Woodberry then proceeded to supply other sites widely with typical picnic seating, before supplying their flagship site, The Devonshire Arms.
The Devonshire Arms, Stockport, Garden Refurbishment Project
The Managers at the Devonshire Arms had a really good idea on what they were looking for and had sourced competitive quotes from other suppliers.
They wanted different configurations of outdoor furniture that would be appropriate for their different customers.
They were looking for stylish furniture that was robust and weather proof with a lifespan of 3-5 years. They wanted to create a comfortable space for families and friends to unwind and socialise.
We recommended our round 8-seater picnic table and benches without backs for the front of their establishment. They are heavy making them an ideal option for the less secure area. These robust picnic tables are also stylish, keeping the front of the Devonshire Arms welcoming to customers.
In the back garden, the Devonshire arms used the 8 seater round picnic tables on their grassy area, while on the patio they used the Harbury range tables and chairs.
Fitting in with landscaping schedules
The funding for the furniture part of the project came through a little later than expected, but once this came through, we very quickly agreed the date for the fitting. Other landscaping requirements had been completed by the time Woodberry came to fit.
Typically, Inglenook ask for our furniture to be built and installed on site, especially for the larger projects. For the smaller regular requirements, Woodberry have an agreement with Inglenook to build the product and this is often arranged via a “round robin” of their sites.
The Church House, Congleton Furniture Replacement
The Church House in Congleton required a range of different outdoor furniture types to accommodate their different customer needs.
At the front of the pub, their large front garden required a mixture of A-Frame Picnic Tables, bar height tables and stools and patio dining tables and chairs.
The Church house aimed to enhance the appeal to a cross section of customers, including couple and families. They target both male and female customers that have different drinking preferences.
By creating zones with different seating options customers would have something that suits their needs resulting in a longer and more enjoyable visit.
